Michelle Marvig is currently traveling with the Quilters Companion/Travelrite tour through the United Kingdom and taking in a cruise on the Ruby Princess. The tour concludes with several days at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham.
Quilters Companion have been running quilting tours in conjunction with Travelrite for over 10 years to such destinations as North America, Europe, the UK, Japan and New Zealand. Itineraries are varied each trip so that new places and sights can be visited on each time.
One great aspect of these tours is that you are escorted not only by Michelle (an experienced and knowledgeable quilter) but also by a professional tour manager, who looks after all the travel arrangements. Each night the tour manager will organise a restaurant booking for anyone in the group interested in dining with other group members. So you can rest assured that there are two helpful people along to assist at all times.
In the next 8 months there are two more great tours organised. The first is an 18-day tour to the United States in October/November this year. It will take in Chicago, Burlington, Berlin for the Ohio Amish, East Lansing for the Great Lakes Quilt Museum and the 2014 International Quilt Festival in Houston.
Then in March 2015, join Sue Daley, Michelle Marvig, Leonie Bateman and Wendy Williams on our second Craft Fair at Sea. Enjoy 11 nights onboard the luxurious Royal Caribbean, Voyager of the Seas whilst taking up to 10 patchwork and quilt classes from these talented tutors. The cruise takes in Noumea, New Caledonia; Lautoka and Suva, Fiji.
